Rimrocked and GPS Hardware
Rimrocked has been designed from the ground up to work easily with a variety
of GPS devices. There are generally 2 type of devices we work with.
Real-time GPS transmitters and GPS navigation devices with datalogging capabilities.
The GPS navigation devices include devices like Garmins handhelds and Tomtom navigation
devices that go in cars. These generally have the ability to log datapoints. In some cases,
you may have to download additional software to run on them - we'll point the way to this
with our HowTto guides below.
The GPS transmitter devices come in two main categories, cellular and satellite. We integrate
with the most common satellite networks used for tracking - Globalstar and Iridium.
We are currently working on GPS Cellular device integration (even with devices without GPS!).

Start Tracking Today
We're device agnostic, but it doesn't mean we're not opinionated. We happen to think that the Tracer 3 is the most affordable, robust and flexible GPS tracking device for personal tracking available today. You may need to use a unit for a shorter period of time and not need to own a Tracer 3. No problem. We have rentals available for you. As we add more GPS unit types to our inventory we'll be letting you know about it here. Contact us at sales AT rimrocked DOT com
