Rimrocked and Guardian Mobility Tracer and Skytrax
Overview
Guardian Mobility products are supported by rimrocked. It is currently one of the easiest ways to track your trip or to map your progress to a large number of users. Simply notify either your contact at Guardian Mobility or Rimrocked and create a trip in rimrocked.
Devices Supported
Rimrocked supports Guardian Tracer 3 and 3P, Guardian Seatrax and Guardian Skytrax Portable and 3X.
How To Install
- If a currently active Guardian Tracer, Skytrax or Seatrax is working (e.g. activated, on a message plan and installed):
- Contact support AT guardianmobility DOT com or sales AT rimrocked DOT com.
- Specify your serial number and ask for messages to be routed to rimrocked
Displaying your tracks on Rimrocked
- If you do not currently have a rimrocked account, create one by signing in at www.rimrocked.com. Note: when creating your rimrocked account make sure that you specify that you have a Tracer (even if it's another Guardian tracking product). Enter your serial number here, double checking it before entering.
- Login to your rimrocked account.
- From the home view of rimrocked, add a new trip.
- Select 'from tracer' in this submenu
- Follow the rest of the instructions onscreen, ensuring that you specify correct dates for your trip.
- Note that you will not be able to create a trip with points in it before Guardian support had pointed the GPS messages to rimrocked.
Similar Devices
Iridium products that send Short Burst Data can also be pointed to rimrocked if airtime is being purchased through Guardian Mobility.
